(English Abstract)
In this paper, we propose a children's location tracking system in playground that uses beacon's positioning technique. One of the main challenges of using beacon for location tracking is that it outputs unstable transmission signal, which makes it difficult to acquire an accurate position information. In order to solve this problem, we first apply Alpha-Trimmed Mean Filter technique to overcome the signal instability, and use trilateration technique in order to improve the accuracy of position information. The acquired location information is then stored on the server, and parents can track their children's location through the smartphone app. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method outputs more accurate location information comparing to GPS. The proposed method can be utilized as a warning system to the parents if a child leaves the playground, and thus, prevent from various safety related issues such as missing or kidnapping.
