(Korean Abstract) |
통신망을 이용한 협동 작업은 원격회의, 원격진료, 원격수술 등과 같은 의료분야에서도 그 중 요성이 더해가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ATM과 같은 초고속 통신망 상에서 3차원 의료 영상에 의한 모의 수술을 지원할 수 있는 회의 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 정형외과 모의수술을 위한 원격회의 시스템 (TOSS : Teleconference system for Orthopedic Surgical Simulation)의 중요 모듈로는 회의 진행 및 작업 공유를 위한 회의 관리기, 의료 영상 처리 및 조작을 위한 수술 시뮬레이터, 모의수술회의 데이타베이스를 위한 데이타베이스 관리기가 있다. 기존의 분산 처리되는 의료용 멀티미디어 시스템이 주로 영상저장 및 전송 또는 비디오 회의에 치우쳐서 개발된 것과 달리 본 논문에서 구현된 시스템은 의료용 원격회의를 위해 요구되는 주요 기능들을 사용자의 편이성을 고려하여 통합 구축하였다.

(English Abstract) |
The importance of cooperative work over networks is growing in some medical areas such as teleconference, remote consultation and diagnosis, and tele-presence surgery. We aim to develop a conference system for surgical simulation using 3D medical images over high-speed networks like ATM. The developed system, TOSS(Teleconference system for Orthopedic Surgical Simulation) includes the conference manager for conference control and shared workspace, the surgical Simulator for medical image processing and manipulation, and the database manager for surgical conference database as important modules. The developed system integrated main components for medical teleconferencing in consideration of user's convenience. It is the major difference between our system and other distributed medical multimedia systems which are usually used for picture archiving & communication and videoconferencing.
