Speed limit enforcement is one of the major challenges in traffic safety. Thus cities regularly invest a lot of resources to manage this issue by applying policy formulation, installing speed bumps, and introducing speed cameras. Therefore, in order to make an effective investment, it is crucial to understand how to prevent the next accidents by exploiting occurred accidents. This paper proposed a recommendation for additional speed cameras based on ¡®Section Finding¡¯ algorithm that defines the list of sections on the roads. The experiment is done with 196 accidents data from the ¡®Traffic Accident Information¡¯ dataset of Nation Core Data, Korea1. The proposed algorithm identifies 161 sections which include maximum three occurred accidents. For each identified section, we check the existence of a speed camera(s) within it. Finally two kinds of recommendations; asking further investigation and installing additional speed camera, are given as experimental results.
