With the development of semantic web technologies, it is possible to develop novel, sophisticated personalized recommendation systems where ontologies are usually utilized as the core knowledge component. In this paper, we design SPOTO (SPOrt TOurism), which is an integrated ontology of two different domains: sport event and tourism. The SPOTO ontology is built for recommendation systems that will recommend favorite tour events and sport events to travelers based on their information (e.g. tourist destination, date/time, and user’s interests). |
