(English Abstract)
With an advantage of covering about 80% of the eyes, ultra-widefield fundus images (UFI) include peripheral lesions that cannot be observed in conventional fundus photography. Many research attempt to perform automatic diagnosis on UFI and they have to face with disadvantages of UFI such as low contrast and artifacts. In this work, we improve the diagnosis accuracy by enhancing UFI. We propose a method to extract nearby region of fovea where lesions of most diseases appear and perform diagnosis on this area. Experiment results state that the accuracy increases significantly compared to diagnosing directly with UFI.
