Auto-ethnography is one of qualitative research with self-reflection and writing to explore personal experience. Auto-ethnography is an autobiographical story to describe researcher¡¯s experience of the past. Most researchers like to assess students activity quantitatively. But many educational researchers used to say that this method can¡¯t properly observe development, behavior and thought of students. 2015 revised curriculum in Korea focused process-driven assessment. This means that assessment have to be performed in class with observation by teacher. Therefore we have to find out a way to assess student¡¯s activity in class. I think that auto-ethnography is a good tool to assess student¡¯s change of thinking, attitude and mind on a way of class. Novel Engineering (NE) is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary way to integrate engineering and literacy. We need to assess student on NE. It's not easy to find out to assess student quantitatively. I make sure that Auto-ethnography is a good way to assess Novel Engineering.
