(English Abstract)
An important issue of recent researches on mobility management in 5G networks is ¡®on demand mobility¡¯ to meet the differentiated requirements of various future services. In this paper, we propose a flow mobility management framework to efficiently support such on demand mobility scenarios. Our framework is based on the 5G network architecture that an IP-based single network core integrates multiple access technologies. The main feature of the proposed framework is to allow applying different controls for each of the flows according to their handover types and service characteristics even though they belong to a single user device. To do so, in addition to distributed and localized mobility management, we have designed additional information structures and protocols to identify a flow, to record its mobility and to adjust data traffic to a new delivery path of the flow. Some enhanced features such as IP address tenancy and delayed route optimization have been also introduced to improve its control performance.
