(English Abstract)
The Depth Image Based Rendering (DIBR) technique can be used to generate virtual views of the real frame for 3DTV system in general and free view point TV in particular. The significant problem of DIBR technique is not only that disoccluded areas appear in virtual views because the information of these areas is unavailable in real view but also the unwanted foreground pixels lie on background side because of low quality of depth image after warping process. This paper presents a new technique to improve the quality of 3D warping process. The unwanted foreground pixels will be detected and removed by using local background-foreground segmentation. After that, the disoccluded area will be filled by exemplarbased inpainting method.
