The Internet of Things (IoT) extends the current Internet connectivity on traditional devices like desktop computers, laptops, smart phones, tablets to everyday objects such as lights, thermostats, doors, electronic appliances, cars, etc. These objects can be remotely controlled via the Internet. It is undeniable that the IoT produces many useful services for human life but it also introduces grand security challenges due to the significant increase in the attack surface and number of resources. In this paper, we propose a Trustworthy IoT Platform (TIP) which can protect IoT devices, IoT services from attacks and ensure the network reliability. The TIP can be applied to various smart infrastructures like Smart Home, Smart Buildings, Smart City, Smart Grid, Smart Agriculture, etc. We also present a methodology which can be used to develop security systems to protect IoT services and sensors against attacks.
