(English Abstract)
This paper describes a new hybrid video coding architecture which is focused on a bitrate reduction of applications in low bit rate environment. First, we investigate the performance of I-frame coding gain method for H.265 over H.264 in terms of bit rate savings and average Peak Signal-To-Noise Ratio (PSNR). Second, we introduce a new process for hybrid video coding, in which H.264 encoder can take an advantage of the HEVC Intra-coding to reduce the total bit rate. The experiment results show that a promising approach of the hybrid method improves the coding efficiency of the new generation of video codec.
