의사소통은 자신의 생각과 감정을 공유하는 행위로써 자기자신을 인지하고 공동체 사회를 살아가는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 현대 IT기술의 발전으로 다국어 동시 통역과 같은 효율적인 의사소통을 위한 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 기술 발전에도 불구하고 청각장애인과 비장애인과의 의사소통에는 어려움이 있다. 일반적으로 비장애인은 수화를 이해하지 못하기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 수화 동작을 스마트폰과 연동하여 음성과 텍스트로 통역해주는 수화 통역 장갑을 제안하여 청각장애인의 의사소통 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 또한, 청각장애인에게 소리 정보의 부재를 대신하여 장갑에 부착된 LED조명의 시각적 효과를 통해 상황 인지 능력에 도움을 주는 IoT 기기를 설계 및 구현 하였다.

(English Abstract) |
Communication is the act of sharing thoughts and feelings. Also, it plays an important role in feel alive oneself and living a community society. With the increasing development of modern IT technology, development of effective communication such as simultaneous interpretation of multiple languages is currently being made. Despite these technological advances, communication between the deaf and the disabled is still difficult. In general, people do not understand sign language. In this paper, we propose the use of a sign language interpreter glove for interpreting sign language behavior to speech and text using a smartphone in order to solve the communication problem of the hearing impaired. In addition, we developed a device that helps the hearing impaired person to recognize the situation by utilizing IoT devices. It provides visual information of LED lights attached to gloves instead of the absence of sound information.
