(English Abstract)
The existing wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are struggling with the interference issue owing to the utilization of the crowded ISM band. The higher data rate requirement of the video sensors nodes (VSNs) is another challenge for existing WSNs. Recently, the cognitive radio sensor networks (CRSNs) appears on the screen to cater the issues of interference and limited capacity of the WSNs. In this paper, we propose a robust channel allocation (RCA) scheme for cluster oriented CRSNs to allocate the best channels in terms of desired throughput and fairness. The clusters are formed using the K-means clustering algorithm and then channels are allocated in a fair manner. Simulation results show that our proposed RCA scheme forms the optimal number of clusters for given video sensor nodes and shares the channels according to the specified data rate and fairness.
