This paper is about the automatic localization of texts in images followed by automatic restoration of background regions occupied by the removed texts. Texts are detected and localized by a neural network-based filter. Two stages are performed after text detection: temporal interpolation in consecutive frames and occlusion restoration using inpainting technology in a still image. Such a combination of temporal interpolation and inpainting algorithm shows a great possibility of automatic text detection and removal in digital videos. |
