무선 인체 통신의 MAC 프로토콜들은 극 저전력에 초점을 맞춰 연구되어, 접속 센서 수가 증가하면 전송 지연(delay) 증가 및 전송량(throughput) 저하가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 저전력을 유지하며, 전송지연과 전송량의 성능 저하를 개선하기 위해 slot 공유 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. Slot 공유 MAC 프로토콜은 다수의 센서가 같은 고정 slot을 공유하도록 배정하여, 센서가 증가하는 상황에서 slot 사용률을 높이는 특성을 갖는다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존 방식과 비교해 제안 방식의 성능을 평가한다.

(English Abstract) |
The energy efficient MAC protocol for wireless body area networks reduces the performance of delay and throughput when increasing the connected sensors. In this paper, we propose a shared slot MAC protocol for improving the performance of delay and throughput with low power consumption. The proposed MAC protocol assigns multiple sensors to a fixed slot. In this way, the proposed MAC protocol increases the utilization of slots. In the simulations, we compare the performance of the proposed MAC protocol with the existing MAC protocol.
