(English Abstract) |
Wikipedia is one of the largest information sources, which is up to date, easy to retrieve and edit. However, since Wikipedia is built collaboratively, there are issues about its reliability, accuracy and organization. Many works tried to improve the internal structure of Wikipedia documents, including attempts to categorize them. In this study, we propose an approach for building an automatic system to recommend the proper categories for Wikipedia articles by analyzing the hidden information inside Wikipedia itself. We also suggest a set of criteria for creating a new category.
