(Korean Abstract) |
데이타베이스 응용 개발 환경에서 보고서 생성기의 역할은 매우 중요하다. 특히 단순한 테이블 형태의 텍스트 출력 보고서 양식보다는 시각적 효과를 강조하는 그래픽 챠트 형태의 보고서 양식이 특정 응용 분야에 있어서는 보다 큰 효과가 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 작업 방식으로서 프로그래밍 언어 기법을 지양하고 메뉴식 인터페이스를 통하여 보다 수월한 보고서 작성이 가능하게끔 하는 그래픽 보고서의 설계 및 구현에 관해 기술한다. 본 시스템의 주된 특징으로는 묵시적 보고서(default report) 기능, 질의어 자동 생성 기능, 다수의 주 데이타 설정 지원, 한글 데이타 출력, 온라인 도움말(on-line help) 기능 등을 들 수 있다.

(English Abstract) |
The report generator plays an important role in a database application development environment. Especially, the form of the graphic report generator which stresses the visual effects provides more desirable results than that of the tabular report generator in some specific cases. This paper describes the design and implementation of a graphic generator which makes the user develop a report easily and interactiviely through menu-based interface instead of using the programming-based method. The main features of this system are as follows: default reporting, automatic query generation, multiple primary data fields setting, Hangul data processing, on-line help fuction.
