(English Abstract)
For the purpose of fast HEVC encoding, it is important problem to construct a cost function of video quality instead of the conventional rate-distortion cost which consumes a lot of computation time in HEVC encoding. A pseudo rate-distortion cost based on the Hadamard transform, which is enable to provide a fast HEVC encoding, is one of crucial candidates for evaluation of video quality. However, since the mathematical analysis of the pseudo rate-distortion cost based on a Hadamard transformation has not been yet provided, it has not been so widely used as a core fast encoding algorithm. In this paper, we provide the mathematical analysis supporting the measure for decision about the computation of CU prediction mode based on the Hadamard transformation before real encoding process of CU prediction mode.
