An autonomous intelligent road vehicle called the PRV I (Postech Road Vehicle I) was constructed and road following algorithms based on conventional vision and on neural networks were tested on a paved road. These algorithms use CCD camera images as inputs; their robustness of the developed algorithms with a vedeo tape. Various technical problems and future works will be discussed in detail.
