Security has become a major issue in many organizations, but most systems still rely on operating systems, and a user ID and password system to provide user authentication and validation. They also tend to be centralized in their approach which makes them open to an attack. Multi-Agent Systems technology can be useful for efficiently designing and maintaining secure networks. The focus of our work concerns one critical security management issue that is intrusion detection. We propose a novel approach AI-NSM(Agent-based Intelligent for Network Security Management) for intrusion detection using intelligent agent technology. AI-NSM provides a flexible integration of a multi-agent system in a classical network environment to enhance its protection level against inherent attacks. |
