¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
There have been the attempts that many participants who reside at remote location could recognize each other, talk and cooperate in a 3-D virtual space. These trials applied to the simulation of military operations, developed to DIS(Distributed Interactive Simulation) and settled down to the general concept of Distributed Virtual Reality.
Recently instead of the information providing method which is planar and passiv, the techniques that enable users to take active parts in 3-D environment more similar to real world are emerging actively. VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is the standard language for description of 3-D world for this purpose.
In this paper, we have designed and implemented the client-server system in which users can share and interactive 3-D virtual environment built with VRML and the process of object creation, modification and deletion in real time. This system includes avatar management system through which participants can discern and communicate each other. Also it guarantees persistency and consistency of the virtual environment which is changed by users. |
