¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
In wireless communications, packet errors due to the transmission of multiple transmitters, result in signal attenuation, channel errors that degrades the system performance to mobile devices. Also, maximization of bandwidth is required to provide a certain level of service or to expand the communication coverage area. To cope with these issues, MIMO technology has received much attention, however, due to the device's size, price, complexity, and life span it still poses implementation difficulties. An approach known as cooperative communication provides a design alternative where single-antenna mobile nodes "share" their resources to provide the benefits MIMO systems offer, generating spatial diversity. In this paper we introduce the concept of cooperative communication and survey recent work conducted on the MAC layer while outlining the design issues.
