Cognitive radio (CR) has been proposed to improve spectrum utilization. Reliable detection of the licensed user signals is a pre-requirement for CR network to avoid the interference in the licensed user. In this paper, we propose a robust soft combination rule based on the Kullback-Leibler Divergence (KL-divergence) for Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS). The proposed scheme can reach similar sensing performance to that of maximum gain combination (MGC) while not requiring information on SNR. In addition, it can protect sensing process against some common types of malicious users without any malicious user identification step. |
