시공간 데이터베이스는 현실세계에 존재하는 다양한 유형의 객체에 대한 공간 관리와 이력 정보를 동시에 제공함으로써 지리정보시스템, 도시계획시스템, 자동주행시스템 등과 같이 다양한 응용분야에서 사용된다. 지금까지 시공간 데이터베이스 모델에 관한 기본적인 연구가 진행되었으나, 시공간 데이터베이스 질의언어에 대한 연구는 매우 미비한 상태이다. 다라서 이 논문에서는 먼저 시공간 객체를 데이터베이스화하기 위한 모델을 살펴보고, 시공간 질의언어가 제공하는 기능들을 정리한다. 또한 관계형 질의 언어인 SQL을 기반으로 효율적인 이력 정보와 공간 관리기능을 제공하는 시공간 데이터베이스 질의언어인 STQL을제안하며, 제안된 질의언어의 시공간 질의연산 수행을 보인다. |

(English Abstract) |
The spatiotemporal databases support historical informations as well as spatial managements for the objects in the real world, and can be efficiently used to various applications such as geographic information system, urban plan system, car navigation system. Although there are so far several pioneering works in spatiotemporal data modeling, it is little to study on spatiotemporal query language. So in this paper, we at first survey a modeling technique that makes spatiotemporal objects into databases, and then show some significant functions supported by query language. Also we suggest a new spatiotemporal database query language, entitled as STQL, which make users to enable to manage efficient historical information as well as spatial management function on the basis of relational query language, SQL. Also the proposed STQL shows their operations in spatiotemporal databases. |
