(English Abstract)
Recently the importance of reliable communication services in the IoT environment used in various industries has increased. Accordingly, the fault tolerance system of the IoT is increasing. However, fault-tolerant systems in IoT environments are driven by multiple systems. Therefore, there is a high probability of generating erroneous data because the data is not matched due to system failure. To this end, we proposed a method of providing data consistency through consensus by introducing a consensus algorithm in blockchain in an IoT fault-tolerant system. In this study, the best consensus algorithm for IoT was the Tendermint consensus algorithm, which describes the application and protocol requirements for applying Tendermint to the system. We also proposed a system procedure that introduces the Tendermint consensus algorithm and compared traffic occurrences between the existing IoT fault-tolerant system and the proposed system.
