(English Abstract)
BMS (battery management system) using multiple battery cells connected in series requires active cell balancing circuit technology that transfers energy directly to each cell using a multiple winding transformer to maximize usable capacity, TLP2748 photocouplers and TLP2745 photocouplers are required for the gate drive circuit for driving the PMOS switches and the NMOS switches as many as the number of the PMOS switches and the NMOS switches, so that the cost increases and the degree of integration decreases. In this paper, instead of driving PMOS and NMOS switching devices by using photocouplers, PMOS gate drive circuit based on 42V BCD process and 8 kinds of NMOS gate drive circuits are integrated as one chip. The gate drive chip for driving the active balancing circuit element is being measured by packaging.
