(English Abstract)
Crowdsourcing is considered to be a promising approach for providing efficient sensing service to different IoT applications. However, the heterogeneous IoT devices have limited energy budget to use the existing cellular networks to enable cellular connectivity for seamless crowdsourcing. Therefore, the combined approach of NB-IoT and Fog computing enables a new dimension of connectivity with extended coverage, battery life, and edge computing. In this paper, we have proposed a game theoretic approach, two-sided matching game for energy efficient crowdsourcing. Here, we consider the NB-IoT network for cellular connectivity and in which the Fog computing platform provides the edge computing for data fusion at the edge. The simulation results show the convergence of the proposed matching game for energy efficient crowdsourcing and significant performance gain over the greedy approach.
