(English Abstract)
As network environment has changed rapidly and high-speed packet transmission is required, High-speed switching system is necessary to meet this requirement. In this paper, we discuss the design and implementation of switch board that performs packet switching function in router system. Implemented switch board has interfaces with line cards and RP boards and the packet is delivered via 2.125Gbps serial interface between line card and switch board. Switch boards consist of active and standby board for redundancy and redundancy algorithm is implemented with FPGA.
