This paper introduces a graduate engineering course, "GPD (Global Product Development)," which is open simultaneously to three major universities, each from three Continents: University of Michigan in U.S.A., Oxford University in U.K. and Seoul National Univeristy in Korea. This course deals with engineering methodology for designing and manufacturing global products, which are sold worldwide by the global industries. The lectures consist of case studies collected from the world's most eminent companies and related deepening lectures. It also emphasizes design projects, which are executed by global student teams. The lectures are given simultaneously at three universities through the video-conferencing facilities and Internet connection. This course started in the Fall semester of 2000, and is open again this year. It turns out that this course provides students valuable experience in global teamwork building for designing and developing global products
