¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
In a mobile P2P (Peer-to-peer) VoD (Video-on-demand) system, denoted as MOVi (Mobile Opportunistic Video-on-demand), the centralized coordinator schedules the segment transport of all MOVi nodes after identifying the entire opportunity, which reflects the paring chances among MOVi nodes. However, the executed segment-based scheduling is subject to the time-varying fluctuation of opportunity and sometimes insufficient opportunity leads to unsatisfactory video playbacks in selected MOVi nodes. In this paper, as part of our MOVi effort, we attempt to improve the video delivery performance of MOVi by employing caching-enabled switches as special peer nodes (as the enhancer of entire opportunity) and by taking advantage of it with improved prediffusionsupported scheduling. Several comparative experiments are performed with MOVi prototype implementation that validates higher opportunity usage and shorter distribution time of MOVi compared with MOVi. |
