본 연구에서는 도심에서 차량을 이용하여 Ad hoc 통신을 할 경우, 빠르게 변하는 토폴로지의 특성을 고려하여 이에 적합한 라우팅 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안 기법은 차량의 지리와 속도 정보를 활용하여 미래에 변화될 토폴로지를 계산하였다. 이를 바탕으로 취약한 경로를 회피하고 견고한 경로만을 선택하여 재경로 탐색 절차로 인한 라우팅 오버헤드를 최소화하였다. 경로 관리 시에는 링크가 절단되는 것을 사전에 예측하여, 절단되기 전에 새로운 경로를 구축함으로써, 전송 실패를 최대한 줄이고자 하였다. 제안 기법을 시뮬레이터로 평가하여 검증한 결과, 제안 기법이 기존 기법보다 경로 길이가 조금 길어지는 경향을 보였으나 견고한 경로만을 선택함으로써, 패킷 전송률이 향상되었을 뿐만 아니라 낮은 지연이 유지되는 점을 보여준다. 또한, 제안된 경로 관리 처리를 바탕으로 전송 실패를 급격히 줄일 수 있다는 점을 보여주었다.

(English Abstract) |
In this paper, a proper routing scheme is proposed considering the characteristics of rapidly changing topology in vehicular ad hoc networks, especially in the urban area. Using the geographical information and speed of vehicles a future topology is anticipated with our proposed prediction algorithm. Based on it, the routing overheads due to route re-search process is minimized by choosing the most robust route. In managing the route, transmission failure can be minimized by establishing a new route in advance before an existing route is completely disconnected. With evaluating the proposed approach by traffic and network simulation, the result shows the improvement of packet transmission rate as well as a low latency though the proposed method tends to have a little longer hop count. In addition, the proposed route management processing scheme demonstrated that transmission failure can be reduced dramatically.
