¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
Trajectory tracking and its management of moving objects becomes indispensable technology for location-based services because geo-location information can be easily obtained using portable devices. Previous approaches update new location information of mobile clients to servers whenever pre-defined time interval is expired or distance threshold exceeds from the point of last location update. However, previous approaches may have problems of redundant data transmissions due to the inadaptability to the varying speed of moving objects. This will cause network traffics waste of servers' storage. We present an adaptive data reduction method for route information by detecting object's moving patterns and using an appropriate algorithm for the detected pattern. Redundant data transmission is prevented by mobile clients' predicting the reconstructed trajectory of servers. This will remove unnecessary data transmission to servers. For performance evaluation of proposed method, we used real trajectory data of freight trucks from company D which is a logistics and freight company. Intensive simulation results show about 50% reduction of route data using the proposed method.
