(English Abstract)
The Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), which supports various features such as interoperability and reusability of IT resources, comes into the spotlight as an effective approach for adapting new business environmental changes. SOA, however, has some problems including the high realization complexity and the high initial construction costs. Because of this, some have negative views about adoption of SOA. In this paper, we studied reducing initial construction costs of SOA based system by dividing services of Legacy system into single or non-operation and operation component and by maximizing recyclability of single or non-operation component units. For its verification, we designed the improved SOA based financial system for reducing initial construction costs and compared with existing SOA through the Function Point Analysis (FPA). As a result, the initial construction costs can be decreased up to 48% in the improved existing SOA based system.
