(English Abstract)
One of high-fidelity validation method in wireless network researches is using wireless network testbed since it provides realistic environments to the researchers. Additionally, it would be helpful if the researchers know how close of throughput performance between the experiments and the theoretical optimal throughput. Thus, in this paper, we propose a tool that computes the theoretical optimal throughput by collecting necessary information (i.e., network topology, flows, etc) from a wireless network testbed. Especially, the tool uses NUM (Network Utility Maximization) model to compute the throughput of individual flows. To validate the proposed tool, we setup a wireless network testbed in GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology) and compare the theoretical and experimental throughput of backpressure scheduling that is known to be provide theoretical optimal throughput.
