최근 무선 통신 기술의 발달 및 스마트 폰의 급격한 보급에 힘입어 위치 기반 서비스가 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나 이러한 서비스는 사용자의 정확한 위치정보를 통해 연속적으로 질의를 요청하기 때문에, 심각한 개인 정보 누출의 위협이 될 수 있다. 한편, 기존 사용자 정보 보호 기법들은 중앙 집중 방식의 시스템 구조를 사용하기 때문에, anonymizer에서의 성능 저하 문제 및 보안 문제를 보인다. 따라서 모바일 사용자의 안전하고 편리한 위치기반 서비스 사용을 위한 분산 시스템 구조 기반의 개인 정보 보호방법이 요구된다. 이를 위해, 본 논문에서는 위치 기반 서비스에서 연속적인 질의 처리를 지원하는 분산 그리드 기반 Cloaking 영역 설정 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 Cloaking 영역 설정 시 필요한 정보를 분산 유지하고, Cloaking 영역 설정을 위한 연산을 분산적으로 수행한다. 아울러, 서비스 사용자에서의 병목 현상을 방지하기 위하여 병합 노드를 사용한다. 마지막으로, 기존 중앙 집중 방식의 Cloaking 기법들과의 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 기법의 우수성을 보인다. |

(English Abstract) |
With the development of wireless communication technologies and popularity of smart phones, many people are using location-based services (LBSs). However, since users continuously request queries to LBS server by using their exact locations, their privacy information could be in danger. Because the existing techniques providing user's privacy protection operate on centralized system, an anonymizer suffers from performance degradation and security problems. Therefore, a mechanism based on distributed system for users' privacy protection is required for the safe and comfortable use of LBSs by mobile users. For this, we, in this paper, propose a distributed grid-based cloaking scheme to support continuous query processing in LBSs. The proposed scheme stores information and performs operations in distributed manner to create a cloaking area. In addition, the proposed scheme uses merge nodes to prevent service users' bottleneck. Through performance analysis, we show that our cloaking scheme outperforms the existing centralized based cloaking schemes, in terms of service time. |
