RFID ±â¼úÀÌ ¹ßÀüÇÑ ÀÌÈÄ·Î RFID ½Ã½ºÅÛÀº ¹°·ù, ºÐ»ê, ±×¸®°í Á¦Á¶¿Í °°Àº ´Ù¾çÇÑ »ê¾÷ ºÐ¾ß¿¡¼­ÀÇ Àû¿ëÀÌ Áõ°¡ÇÏ°í ÀÖ´Ù. (English Abstract)
Since the introduction of the RFID technology, RFID systems have increasingly been used for applications in various industries, such as logistics, distributions and manufacturing. RFID middleware provides essential functions in RFID systems. It first collects a vast number of tag data from RFID readers connected to the middleware. Then, it filters the collected data according to specifications on tag data in which RFID applications are interested. Finally, it sends reports of filtered data to the applications. For improving reliability and scalability, jobs on one middleware are needed to be migrated to another one. Such job migrations can lead to high cost, particularly when many jobs and readers are involved. Therefore, it is important to reduce the cost of job migration. This paper proposes a job partitioning approach to reduce cost of job migration. By separating the relationships between jobs and readers, the approach reduces jobs and readers to be migrated. To demonstrate effectiveness of the approach, an experiment is performed in an environment that considers various configurations of jobs and readers. The experimental result shows that the approach can reduce cost of job migration by an average of 27%.
