지금까지 기존의 관계형 데이타베이스 모델을 개선하고자 여러 제안들이 있었으나, 실세계의 데이타 모델을 투명하게 표현할 수 있는 복합객체 질의를 완벽하게 처리하지 못하는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 복합객체 질의언어에 대한 목적절의 항, 범위절의 접근영역과 한정절의 형식을 분석하여, 복합객체 해석을 구조화시키고 해석으로의 변환을 위한 변환 규칙들을 설계한다. 또한, 실제 적용 예를 통하여 변환 규칙의 올바름과 질의 기능의 완벽함을 보인다.
따라서, 본 논문은 이 변환 규칙들을 이용하여 질의를 선언적 객체 해석으로 변환하는 새로운 방법을 제시하므로써, 효율적인 질의 최적화와 올바른 객체지향 질의 처리과정의 구축에 기여한다.

(English Abstract) |
Recently, there are several proposals to advance the traditional relational database models. None of them, however, completely manipulates the complex object queries that represent the real-world data model transparently.
In this paper, we not only structure a complex object calculus by means of analyzing several properties in user's complex object queries such as terms in target clause, accessing scopes in range clause, and formulas in qualification clause, but also design translation rules of a complex object query language into a complex object calculus. And, this paper presents correctness of translation rules and completeness of queries through the practical example.
Therefore, this paper contribute to the construction of straight-forward object oriented query processing and the efficient optimization of queries by using the proposed translation rules.
