재설정가능 연결망은 다중처리기 시스템에서 임의의 순열 형태의 연결을 1패스에 스위치의 충돌없이 연결할 수 있다. 따라서 이 재설정가능 연결망에 대한 많은 연구가 있어 왔는데, 본 논문에서는 지금까지 알려진 것 보다 더 큰 부류의 새로운 대칭 비트 교환 다단계 상호연결망(대칭 BPMIN)이라는 재설정가능 연결망을 제안한다. 대칭 BPMIN은 두 개의 BPMIN을 차례로 연결하여 얻어지는 2logN 단계의 연결망이다. 대칭 BPMIN이 Benes망과 같은 재귀적 분해 구조를 가짐을 보임으로써 재설정가능임을 증명하고, 최근에 Yeh와 Feng에 의해 제안된 동치 Benes망 보다 더 큰 부류임을 보인다. 또한 Benes망의 경로 설정 알고리즘을 약간 수정함으로써 대칭 BPMIN에 대한 일반적인 경로 설정 알고리즘을 제시한다. |

(English Abstract) |
Rearrangeable networks in multiprocessor systems can realize an arbitary permutation in one pass without conflict in any switching element. There have been many researches on the rearrangeable networks. This paper proposes a new class of rearrangeable networks called Symmetric Bit-Permute Multistage Interconnection Networks(Symmetric BPMINs). The Symmetric BPMINs are 2logN stage MINs constructed from two BPMINs by cocatenating them in sequence. It is proved that the Symmetric BPMINs are rearrangeable by showing that they have the same recursive decomposition structures as the Benes network suggested by Yeh and Feng recently. The routing algorithm for the Symmetric BPMINs is described by modifying slightly the looping algorithm of the Benes networks. |
