(Korean Abstract) |
현재 사용하는 순차적인 뉴스 비디오 검색 방법은 많은 시간을 소비한다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 뉴스 비디오를 내용(뉴스 사건) 단위별로 검색할 수 있는 자동 인덱스 모듈과 원격 검색 브라우저 모듈을 제시한다. 인덱싱 모듈은 기본적으로 이미지 프로세싱을 기반으로 하여 뉴스 앵커를 검출하고 뉴스 아이템을 분할한다. 인덱싱 구성 요소는 뉴스비디오 내용에 대한 대표영상(뉴스 아이콘)과 부가적인 정보를 포함하는 뉴스 자막으로 구성하였다. 검색 브라우저 모듈은 추출된 인덱싱 요소를 아이콘하여 뉴스사건 단위로 내용을 검색할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 매일 발생되는 뉴스를 자동 인덱싱하여 사용자에게 뉴스서비스의 효율적인 적용이 기대된다.

(English Abstract) |
The present method for searching a sequential news video has a problem regarding too much time-consumption. In order to solve this problem, this paper suggests an automatic index module which is capable of searching a typical news video with respect to a unit of the news contents, and a remote retrieval browser as well.
Basically, the indexing module can divide the news item after detecting an anchor person on the basis of image processing. The contents of the indexing are consisted of the representative image(news icon) for a news story and a caption containing supplementary information. The searching browser module has been designed to be searched by the news event unit after the iconization of the detected indexing elements. In conclusion, the result of this studying can provide the users a news service effectively by the automatic indexing for the daily news.
