¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
This paper presents a mobility prediction scheme for an effective mobility management. In a mobile computing environment, a mobile user can send/receive message to/from other network system in anytime and at anywhere through wireless channels without the restriction of any geographical locations. Because of the characteristics of mobile computing systems such as the deficiency of communication resources, frequent disconnections, and user movements, it is required that mobility management be more intelligent and be more effective. To provide the high quality of services through the mobility management, it is necessary to consider aggressively the movement patterns of a mobile user. In this paper, we propose an intelligent mobility prediction scheme that can predict future locations from the movement patterns of a mobile use for past several days or several months, i.e., location history of a mobile user. To model the movement of a mobile user, we use a neuro-fuzzy inference system. Since the neuro-fuzzy inference system predicts the future locations to which a mobile user is moving, our scheme can be used for supporting the pre-allocation of communication channels and the pre-assignment of deficient resources, etc. Additionally, the simulation results in this paper show that our scheme has high prediction accuracy for various mobile environments. |
