¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
Nowadays, OWL and RDF/S called the semantic web ontology language are used as the semantic web description language which describes the web resources such as movies, images, and text existing in Web. In addition, OWL and RDF/S is extending their usages to another ontology area because of providing the standard of the knowledge sharing by XML compatible property. For that reason, we need to efficiently process the semantic query due to the increase of each ontology database volume by augmenting the usage of the semantic web ontology. In this regard, to efficiently process the RDQL query which is the semantic query language to query the ontology and instance, we propose the optimization transformation method to convert the RDQL query into the SQL query. The proposed RDQL2SQL generates the optimized SQL query by applying the optimization transformation rule (OTR) which eliminates the unnecessary SQL query in the process of converting into the SQL query. We show that the proposed method achieves performance improvements of between 20 to 80 percent against the previous query engine in the experiment result.
