The high-efficiency video coding (HEVC), which was developed by the Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding is the mainstream compression standard. The HEVC standard is more advanced than H.264/AVC for supporting high-resolution video and achieves the same video quality at a higher compression rate. HEVC is 50% more efficient than H.264/AVC and supports the encoding/decoding of ultrahigh-definition resolution video. However, the real-time HEVC and its extensions, such as MV-HEVC, 3D-HEVC needs to be implemented on a high-performance computer. Hence, we proposed a low price heterogeneous distributed HEVC encoder system to replace the high price encoder platform. The most difficult point in the heterogeneous distributed system is the scheduling task, which makes the whole distributed system in the balance. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a SVM prediction method based on HEVC features to reduce HEVC heterogeneous distributed system latency.
