The effects of timing jitter on low band Prolate Spheroidal Pulse(LB-PSP)in point-to-point direct sequence code division multiple access(DS-CDMA) ultra wideband(UWB) systems are investigated and compared with low band modulated and modified hermite orthogonal pulse(LB-MMNHP). The numerical results show that LB-PSP and LB-MMNHP have almost same sensitivity to the timing jitter even though they have different complexity. Additionally, the degradation caused by timing jitter is not simply compensated by increasing the number of chip.
