다양한 종에 대한 단백질 상호작용 네트워크 데이터들이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 따라서 복잡한 단백질 상호작용 네트워크에서 단백질간의 상호 연관성을 체계적으로 분석할 필요가 있다. 이러한 연구는 단백질 복합체나 세포의 경로의 대해 이해를 높일 수 있는 방법이며, 또한 기능이 알려지지 않은 단백질의 기능을 예측할 수 있는 도구이다. 단백질 상호작용 네트워크에서 단백질간의 기능적 연관성을 연구하기 위하여 우리는 단백질의 기능적 연관성을 체계적으로 분석하기 위하여 단백질 네트워크를 위상 구조에 따라 세 가지로 분류하여 분석하였다. 우리는 그 중 기능성 연관성이 가장 높은 단백질 네트워크 위상구조를 알아내게 되었다. 또한 단백질 네트워크의 기능적 연관성에 대하여 쉽고, 빠르게 접근하고 분석할 수 있게 하기 위한 OLAP 시스템의 기반이 되는 스타 스키마를 구축하였다.

(English Abstract) |
The volume of data about protein-protein interaction network has increased dramatically in relatively short period of time. This symptom has presented opportunities to analyze systematically the topology of such a large network for functional information using several approaches. we can use these information to predict genetic interactions, function, protein complexes and celluar pathway, also annotating unknown proteins. Until now, some kinds of approaches have appeared for functional association analysis of Protein-Protein interaction networks. We performed a systematic analysis about PPI network for human. For this analytical purpose, we divided PPI into three categories, such as directly connected PPI, protein pair with common interaction partner, and directly and indirectly connected protein paris. we conduct experiment on each categories and then we conclude that protein pair with common interaction partner has strong functional association relationship. For analysis purpose, we applied Data Warehouse concept and Online analytical processing to functional association of the PPI network. With this system, anyone can easily access the data and perform any analysis with that data.
