최근 이동전화 단말기 관련 기술의 지속적인 발전과 네트워크 기술 진화, 소비자의 요구 증가 등에 힘입어 이동통신 산업이 급격하게 성장하고 있는데, 다양한 기능을 내장한 스마트폰은 이러한 이동통신 산업의 성장에 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있다. 이에 따라 이동객체의 제어 기법도 진화하고 있는데, 별도의 위치 추적용 단말기를 사용하고 있는 기존 이동객체 관리 시스템에서는 주기적인 시간 또는 거리에 의존하는 수집 및 보고 환경으로 인하여 클라이언트와 서버간의 빈번한 통신이 발생하게 되므로 시스템의 데이터 처리 부하 및 과다한 통신비용 등 다양한 문제들이 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 극복하기 위해 자체 처리 능력을 갖춘 스마트폰을 사용한 지능형 이동객체 제어 기법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 이동객체 제어 기법을 사용하면 사용자의 위치 및 상태를 효율적으로 파악할 수 있게 되므로 네트워크 부하와 데이터 저장량을 줄일 수 있다. 실험 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 기법을 사용할 경우 기존 기법에 비해 위치획득 횟수와 데이터 저장량을 약 50% 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

(English Abstract) |
Recently, according to the development of technologies related with mobile phone terminals, evolution of network technology, and increased requirements of consumers, the industry of mobile communication is rapidly growing up. Specifically, smart phones with various functions play a key role in this growth of mobile communication industry. In addition, control schemes of moving objects are also evolving but existing mobile object management systems using separated tracking terminals have some difficulties. Since they use the collection and reporting environments that heavily depend on periodic time or distance, the communication between clients and servers is so busy and consequently various problems such as data processing overhead of the systems and excessive communication cost are remained unsolved. In this paper, in order to resolve those problems, we propose an intelligent control scheme of moving objects with internal processing capability. Since it becomes possible to efficiently figure out the location and states of users using the proposed control scheme of moving objects, network overhead and the amount of data storage can be reduced. The experimental results show that it is possible to reduce 50% of the frequency of collecting location information and the amount of data storage as compared with the existing schemes.
