In this paper, we consider a three-user symmetric underlay interference channel where three users are underlaid with one primary user. The QoS of primary user is guaranteed in terms of degrees of freedom (DoF). To secure target DoF for a primary user, underlay users should restrict their transmission while they try to achieve maximum DoF at the same time. DoF of each underlaid user is analyzed for a propagation delay based interference alignment (IA) model. Here, we suggest three specific delay based transmission models which assume either synchronous or asynchronous transmission. Also, the simple Han-Kobayashi scheme is considered to increase DoF of underlay users. As a result, we see the achievable DoF of underlay users for a variable interference regime and confirm that it is quite different with those of a conventional interference channel.
