This paper presents a novel cavlc encoder hardware which can process one macro block including macro block header information in 469 cycles in worst case. It adopts 3-stage pipeline architecture for information initialization, coding and packing. The proposed architecture can make real-time process for 1920x1088@30p with 116Mhz
