Recently, Hsiang and Shih proposed a smart card based remote user authentication scheme. However, this paper point out the scheme is vulnerable to the password guessing attack. Furthermore, we propose a new remote user authentication scheme based on smart cards. Our scheme could cope with the security
weaknesses in Hsiang and Shih’s scheme. |
