(English Abstract)
This paper presents a deterministic collision-free protocol to support real-time communciation in Ethernet with little overhead. In this protocol, each station has a distinct timer value depending on its physical location for which it defers starting transmission. This property prohibits collision combined with carrier sense facility of Ethernet and makes the network operate in round-robin fashion. Since overhead such as a token rotation time or an unused slot is obviated, the vandwidth can be used efficiently. The results of simulation shown that the proposed scheme yields better performance than the toden bus and TDMA for both synchrouous messages.
