Call for papers: Special session on Robust Biometrics Systems IEE Fourth International Conference on Knowledge-based Intelligent Engineering Systems and allied technologies (KES 2000) University of Brighton, Sussex, UK 30-31st August, 1st September 2000 http://luna.bton.ac.uk/~kes2000 High quality and original papers involving design and analysis of robust biometrics systems are invited for a special session on "Robust Biometrics Systems" during the 4th KES 2000. Papers on any biometric technology are invited, including fingerprint, voice, face, iris, signature and hand geometry. This special session will focus on robust biometrics systems, for example authentication and identification systems that can handle large variations in the input signal; handle non-cooperative users; function in difficult environments and are resilient to attack. We also encourage contributions which investigate the performance of biometric systems, for instance special databases; real-world performance analysis; and overall system design. Draft papers deadline: June 5th, 2000 Acceptance: June 25th, 2000 Final papers due: July 5th, 2000 Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, to be published by the IEEE. All the papers will be rigorously reviewed. In accordance with the conference policy, at least one author must register and papers must be presented by one of the authors to be included in the proceedings. Further details of the KES conference and the location can be found at the conference web page. http://luna.bton.ac.uk/~kes2000 Papers should be sent to the session chairs in postscript, pdf or Word format, with electronic submission by email preferred. The final camera-ready copy must meet the conference guidelines.
