Call for Papers for the



11TH ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN PATTERN RECOGNITION ASSOCIATION



30 Nov - 1 Dec, 2000

The University of the Witwatersrand,

Johannesburg, South Africa





This workshop will be the 11th one organised as the main annual event of

the Pattern Recognition Association of South Africa (PRASA). PRASA is

affiliated with the International Association for Pattern Recognition

(IAPR).



The workshop is scheduled to begin on Thursday the 30th of November and end

on Friday the 1st of December 2000.



Topics which can be included are the following:

Pattern Recognition Theory, Pattern Recognition Applications,  Signal

Processing, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Remote Sensing and Document

Processing, Speech Processing, Artificial Neural Networks.



The Workshop will be held at the Magaliesberg Conference Centre, near

Hartebeespoort dam near Johannesburg.



The symposium registration fee is ZAR 630.00 (about US$ 100). This includes

a copy of the proceedings and the conference dinner. It also serves as a

fee for one-year regular PRASA membership.
